Bowling for Luke Fundraiser Event on  26 July 2024

On Friday, 26 July 2024, the Binary City Social Club proudly participated in a charitable bowls event at the Eros Bowling Club in Windhoek, aiming to raise funds for Luke, a young boy battling Dyskinetic Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Our enthusiasm saw us enter two teams for the event: Team Mufasa and Team Incredibowls.

The event kicked off at 14:00, with our teams arriving early at 13:00 to receive their bowling training. Yes, it was our first time for most of us. The Binary City representatives included:

  • Ethon (Hardware)
  • Robert (Software)
  • Hanna (Receptionist)
  • Marcha-Lee (Sales)
  • Jean de Scande (Sales)
  • MD (Procurement)
  • Andreas (Development)
  • Nee (System Administration)
  • Gideon (HR / ISMS)

Team Mufasa and Team Incredibowls

Team Mufasa and Team Incredibowls played with determination and spirit. Team Mufasa emerged victorious in two of their three games, while Team Incredibowls triumphed in all three, securing 4th and 2nd place overall. Not a bad performance for our first outing on the bowling field!

The event concluded with an awards ceremony, a delightful dinner, a dance, and an exciting auction. Prizes included a weekend getaway to Le Mirage, valued at over N$15,000, among other fantastic items, all to support Luke’s medical bills.

It’s about Luke

Beyond the fun and camaraderie, the most important outcome of the day was the support extended to Luke and his family. This event highlighted the spirit of community and the willingness to come together for a meaningful cause. Very much a part of the Binary City spirit.

Luke and his family need all the support they can get. If you are able to help, please reach out to them directly and offer your assistance. Visit their Facebook page for more details.

This event was a huge success for Luke! They needed N$100,000.00 for his operation and they were able to raise enough money to cover the whole operation for him... Brilliant!

We are so proud of our team

We are incredibly proud of our teams for their participation and success. At Binary City, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Stay tuned for more updates on our social initiatives and how you can get involved. Together, we can make a significant impact.
