​ Understanding Comm. commands

Comm Commands:

Once logged into the system, go to Manage and click Comm. commands under API authorisation(s)

Comm Commands is an instruction that comes from BC Time to a local Database is also an instruction from the Local Database to the Device. There are 26 Commands and below is a brief explanation of each one of them.

Update local device(s)

• This is an instruction from BC Time to updates the Local Database with all devices

Restart device(s)

• This is an instruction from BC Time to Time Comm to restart the device

Clear all employees & visitor information on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time to the Local Database to clear all the templates of employees and visitor(s) from the device(s)

Clear all attendance on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time to the Local Database to clear all the clockings from the device(s)

Clear all information on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time to the Local Database to all information from the Device(s)

Update local device time zone(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time to update the time zones on the Local Database

Update time zone(s) on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time  to the Local Database to update time zones on the device(s)

Update local device time Zone(s) & on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time  to the Local Database to update time zones on both the Local Database and the Device(s)

Update local time zone group(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time  to the Local Database to update time zone on group(s)

Update employee(s) and or visitor(s) time zone(s) on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time  to the Local Database to update employee(s) and or visitor(s) time zone(s) on the device(s)

Update local time zone group(s) & employee (s) and or visitor(s) time zone(s) on devices 

• It's an instruction from BC Time  to the Local Database to update time zones on group(s) & employee(s) and or visitor(s) on the device(s)

Get configuration setting 

• This is an instruction from BC Time to fetch the scheduled settings on Time Comm

Update configuration setting

• This is an instruction from BC Time to update the scheduled settings on Time Comm

Update local Comm.app

• This pushes instruction from BC Time to update Time Comm Application to the latest version

Get local Comm. app version 

• This is an instruction from BC Time fetch the latest version of the  Time Comm Application

Update local visitor(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time to update visitor(s) names on the Local Database

Update visitor(s) on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time to the Local Database to update visitor(s) names on the device(s)

Update visitor(s) & on device(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time  to the Local Database to update visitor(s) on both the Local Database and on device(s)

Update local visitor(s) template(s)

• It's an instruction from BC Time to update visitor(s) template(s) on the Local Database
